6. Harper the Super Sim - The Beginning of It All...

 The Challenge

The goal of the super sim challenge is to have one sim complete every skill to the maximum, complete every aspiration entirely, and reach the top level of every career. Typically, this challenge starts with a young adult sim, but I wanted to add my own personal twist and have the super sim be a child, that way I can have them reach level ten of the children skills as well as achieving all four of the childhood aspirations. I considered starting the challenge with the super sim as a toddler, but decided to have them as a child as then I could really get into the challenge sooner. Plus it makes sense story-wise... most toddlers develop their skills because their parents teach them, and a lot of toddlers don't strive to be the best. However, when someone reaches their childhood, this is when they become more aware of their skills and wanting to be 'the best'. For this reason, I decided to make it a part of the story. Our super sim realised at school just how smart she was, so from then decided to be the best of the best.


The Super Sim

Our super sim is little Harper Hawthorne. Her looks, name, personality, and family were all decided on through community votes on twitter a little while back. You can check out the other family members and the backstories in previous blog posts!

Harper's childhood trait is genius, and her first aspiration she wishes to complete is creativity. Here are a couple of screenshots of some of her outfits and a close-up of her face.



The Story

Growing up, Kira and Bianca could always tell that their daughter, Harper, was going to stand out. She was confident and smart from such a young age, making friends wherever she went. Any challenge she was willing to try, and she wouldn't stop until she succeeded. When she started school, this only encouraged her competitive and hardworking behaviour. Harper quickly caught on that she was smarter than everyone else in her class, she was more sporty, confident, and creative than the rest. 

    

    

She was never smug or cruel about it though. In fact, all of this just made her more popular among her peers, as they all wanted to be like her. Loving the attention, Harper was always happy to study with her group of friends and help them with their school work. After that, they'd all go to the park and play on the pirate ship together. Harper would then come back home and either make some crafts or practice on her violin. This girl was unstoppable!

Realising her potential, Harper decided that she would actively work on her skills. She would become the ultimate super sim.

1. Meet the Hawthorne Family - Kira

 So before we get into the challenge aspect, let's start with a bit of context and introduce our first Sim... Kira Hawthorne is a loving and warm lady who always dreamt of a large family. She married her high school sweetheart, David, at a young age and not long after, gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Trey. Kira worked from home as a struggling author, while David was climbing on up in the business career. For a short time, everything seemed fine. That was until Kira decided to surprise David at work one lunch, but discovered David was having an affair with a co-worker. Distraught, Kira immediately left and waited for David to come home and explain himself. But he didn't. Not for a little while at least. About a week had passed before David came home to his family. 5. Meet the Hawthorne Family - Jumps Through Time

Before getting into the story, I want to apologise for not having posted in such a long time! I had some personal things going on (nothing bad or anything) but it took up a lot of time. This just meant that when I did have spare time, I didn't really fancy writing. Then I spent a couple of weeks away from actually playing the game, which made it even more difficult to find motivation to write! But now I'm back with the Hawthorne's and back to their story. I don't want to commit to saying I'll publish a story every week, because life does get in the way, and in the next week or so I'm starting back at both work and uni... so it might be more difficult. But I'm doing this forewarning now in advance, so I don't just disappear this time!
